"Rio de Janeiro"...can we pass 6....

Hello Folks,
So an enlightened event of London Olympics 2012 has come to an end. And what we Indian can think more about....6 medals (its sad none was gold)..and the most important all of them are in Individual events.

Now as an Indian somehow I enjoyed that long banging sports event. And yeah I am satisfied with the number of medals won.Now all pupils are looking forward "Rio de Janeiro" Brazil, where next event is going to happen.....Everybody who were following this Olympics might be thinking about the Indian performances in upcoming one....

SO the main question which comes into my mind is that can we will be able to pass this magic number  '6 ' in Rio.......
Rio;;;;;Brazil...

Look into this awesome view  of Rio...the city for dreams..which lot of Indian participants will be having in their minds...will these city help them to surpass medal tally of 6 in 2016???...For not sure...because it will only help them to dream for...

So what are the things which will help them to perform that...do u people have any idea.....???

For sure not...hoga bhi kyun ..India is heaven for cricket fans.....Cricket world cup bhi to hona hai...2015..
Yeah i wont deny...i am also a hardcore fan of cricket...and Virat Kohli..the guy ..ma favourite...
But I'll frankly say..i was not aware with the fact that the number of sports event in this Olympic was 302 in 26 sports. And their were games like Equestrian,Pentathlon,Triathlon etc..which i never heard off. (And I am sure most of u ain't).

We had 83 athletes in 13 sports......6 medal came from 4 sports(Boxing, wrestling, shooting and badminton). Then also if we see the broader picture India didn't compete in 13 odd sports.(I do not know the reason, but one fact I am aware is that India comes second after China in terms of Population, then also China was there in all sports).

Now let me tell you some crazy facts which will make you clear the point for which I am making a discussion here..

If we see the medal tally of top countries,we will see a pattern....

USA - around 35 - 40% of their medal came from swimming only.
China - half of their medal came from badminton, TT ,Gymnastic.
Australia - Again they got lot of medal from swimming.
Russia - Gymnastic,where they dominated.

Even if we take a look at their past we will see that...they followed the same trend in every Olympics.

So here comes my main point...as a marketing student i will say all of them follow one key strategy..which is "Core Competence"..which helped them to derive their competitive strategy.

So what we Indians are looking for.......we have found out our core competence...which is in Boxing,Wrestling,Shooting...and for adding two more I can take Archery and Badminton(After watching the performance of  Pradeep Kashyap and Saina Nehwal.

So the next thing to take care of is to overcome from traditional problem of ours...that is dependency.....yes dependency on one or two individual....(Let me take an example here from my field of interest 'Cricket'...there was an era in post 90's when our Indian cricket team was totally dependent on Sachin Tendulkar...it happened every time...when Sachin clicks, they would win or vice versa..)..but now i appraise our Indian cricket team that they are now independent....all 11 players are treated equally...if one fails another will click..and thats how we became World Champion in 2011).

So why cant we adopt the same strategy here...apart from just depending on Mr.Bindra, Sushil Kumar or Vijender Singh, why cant we hope a medal from every individual in the team.. And I am very much sure that we can do that....

We just now have to focus on our core competence...need to work on them...and then like China or USA..we can also win Medals...and yeah definitely can pass that charismatic number '6'...

ALL THE BEST TO UPCOMING PARTICIPANTS FOR NEXT OLYMPICS IN RIO.....

JAI HIND.....

Baby Step to Corporate World.....

Hello friends,
So, finally its more then 2 months i have completed my MBA(i don't have any idea how!!!) .
As you know ,like everybody else i also got my campus placement and landed into  an MNC IT firm. Here i ll try to share my 2 months experience with the organization for whom i am working( i dont know what exactly i did here). So here it is......................

PART  - 1

21st May 2012 (Monday)(Time 7:45 to 8:30):-

This is date when i joined or you can say i born in corporate world(as people say).:D
i had to report to seminar hall  (bldg no 12) at sharp 8:15 in the morning.(what the hell is bldg no 12??..as i thought, later came to know campus have more than 50 bldg,(what exactly people do here!!!).So i left form my place by 7:45 in the morning, reached main gate of the campus at 8:10,formal security check and i was inside the campus. Now here it was the main hectic job,to find out bldg no 12...pheww...i asked a sweeper who was in front of me,she told me the direction and i started moving....walking...walking..walking...still no sign of bldng no 12....i checked the time 8:20 already....i smiled ,first day and late to office..lolz....
finally i reached to bldng no 12..now again problem arises...there was a queue standing in front of me already....later came to know i have to put my details before entering the seminar hall...what the hell...i had identity card...(somebody told me from behind 'welcome to the world of QUEUE)..He was right..how..I'll tell u later.
Now again come back to my first day,..anyhow i entered seminar hall ,around 60 people were sitting in front of me,a drop of sweat fell down from ma forehead ,  i rushed for my sit. Accidentally i found more people from my college and i went to them.

21st May 2012 (Monday)(Time 8:30 to 12:30):-

Exactly at 9:00 o'clock..a good looking girl entered into seminar hall...our jaw dropped after seeing her...for starting 5 minute i do not remember wot ever she said, reason -i was not listening to her..i was just watching her..;). then our induction session started...omg wot a boring one...i was able to fight my sleeping nerve during my college, even when lecture of International Marketing or Life insurance used to happen.but here i surrendered...i slept with open eyes...how many hours ???, 2 hours ...:D...
OK,now it was lunch time ,she told all of us to go for lunch and come back in 45 minutes..we were like awww!!!..it reminded  me of our HR Meets, wen we have to finish with our lunch within 30 minutes deadline by fighting for chapati,curry..nd dessert(bhool jao, kabhi nahi milta tha)...
Anyhow we left for our lunch,i heard that our campus have around 5 food courts....so we decided to go to nearer  one. we reached there...what i saw was very astonishing...a long queue again...both for coupon and food(horrible then our sbs mess). we cancelled our meal plan...why (45 minutes deadline u know..)...it again reminded me of the words by that guy("welcome to the land of queue"....he was right)

Finally we had pizza,in Amul Parlor (those maintained by franchisee, with no cheese..:P).And went back to seminar hall.
